HarePoint Analytics for SharePoint (On‑Premises) — Version 16.17 was released on April 15, 2025.

The new version of HarePoint Analytics for SharePoint on premises (v.16.17) delivers more trustworthy data collection (especially for custom metadata), extended flexibility in how you tag and analyse content, and smoother reporting experience across modern devices and locales. The new chart policy enables sharper visualisations, and the locale fix improves the usability and global readiness of the product.

What’s New & Improved

• Data Collection Fixes: We’ve resolved a critical issue that was affecting how data from custom metadata fields (documents and list items) was collected. Previously such metadata could be reset during the next recalculation cycle; this is now fixed, ensuring continuous and reliable metadata-tracking in your reports.
• Support for Multiple Values in Custom Metadata: Users can now assign and analyse multiple values in custom metadata fields for both documents and list items. This enhancement gives you greater flexibility in categorising content and more granular analytics on multi-tagged items.
• Updated Device, Browser & OS Compatibility: We’ve refreshed our definitions for browsers, operating systems, and mobile devices within the product so that the data-collector recognises modern platforms correctly. This means improved accuracy in device/OS breakdowns and fewer “unknown” entries in device reports.
• New Chart Policy: fillareacharts: Introduced a new chart-rendering policy named fillareacharts. When enabled, it allows “Area”-type report charts to appear filled (rather than just outline/line). Use this to improve visual clarity of trends in your report dashboards.
• Locale-Specific Fix: Year Selection Field in “By Month” Mode: Certain locales experienced an issue where the year-selection field in the “By Month” filtered view failed to render correctly. This has been addressed — users in all supported language/local settings can now reliably use the year picker in “By Month” analytics filters.
