The system now alerts you when your Power BI semantic model approaches the 1 GB limit, providing an early warning to upgrade to Power BI Premium before the cap is reached. This helps ensure uninterrupted data refreshes and smooth report performance.

Power BI updates
Instant Power BI connection after tenant registration: It’s now possible to connect the Power BI application immediately after registering your tenant, without waiting for the initial data collection to complete. This enhancement allows faster onboarding and earlier access to dashboards and datasets.

This release focuses on proactive monitoring and faster time-to-insight. Administrators can now anticipate when their analytics dataset is nearing Power BI’s capacity limit, while new customers benefit from a smoother and quicker setup experience.
